A 50-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Khajoori under Gunga police station area on the Saturday.
According to the police the victim Hari Singh was found dead at his residence in the wee hours on Sunday. The station house officer of Gunga BD Veera told that the deceased Hari Singh was sleeping at his residence. The family members were sleeping in the next room and were not aware about the miscreants.
They came to know about the murder in the wee hours on Sunday. The victim was having a property dispute with his relative but the reason of the murder could not be ascertained at the moment. There were visible marks in the neck of a sharp edged weapon which suggests that the attack was aimed to kill the victim.
A sharp edged weapon was recovered from the spot, BD Veera added. After the preliminary investigation of the case, the police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
