A musical show Gayan Parv 2018 would begin on Monday at Bharat Bhavan. The Gayan Parv is an annual musical event which is being organized by Anhad, the classic musical wing of Bharat Bhavan.
Every time the authorities of Bharat Bhavan bring something new for the city art lovers and this time the Gayan Parv would be presented by the renowned female classical singers of the country.
Notably, Gayan Parv is a combination of old traditional music and the old cultures of the country. This event shows the colours of the classical music through presenting singers from different gharanas. Notably this is the ninth year of Gayan Parv.
The Gayan Parv 9 is a two-day event that would conclude on Tuesday. Prem Shukla, in charge of the programme said, “The Anhad is well renowned for its musical and dance programmes. From many years Anhad is organizing such programmes for the music and dance lovers.”
To begin with the performances, on Monday Vaani Vandana a group of 11 classical singers will perform the classical tunes. The compositions are created and directed by a noted classical singer Pandit Kiran Deshpande.
On the same day singer Sudha Raghuraman will give performance and to conclude the day one of the event, singer Manjari Ansare Kelkar would perform. The Gayan Parv would conclude with the performance of a renowned classical vocalist Sangeeta Goswami. Sangeeta’s voice is unique-deep, rich and penetrating with tremendous power rendering of traditional, but increasingly rare. On the same evening singer Raghunandan Panishkar would perform.
