The Blind Foundation, a national organisation that has worked for the rehabilitation of visually impaired individuals for over 17 years and has presence in over 22 cities, is organising a programme ‘Ek Shaam Ummeed Ke Naam’ on Tuesday.
The Foundation in Bhopal is working for the past 5 years and headed by Dr Medha Bhushan, an MDS dental surgeon by profession and a social worker by passion.
The foundation is organising a musical event - "Ek Shyam Ummeed Ke Nam" (an evening in the name of hope) at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal; on Tuesday at 5pm.
More than 100 blind students from four schools of Bhopal - Blind Relief Association, National Association for Blind, Govt. School of Deaf, Dumb and Blind and Kendriya Vidhyalaya, will be performing at the show. To add grace to our show, we will be having singer Taz B aka "Tazzy T" in town, to perform at the concert.
The Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chauhan will be inaugurating the function.
Taz b, a prominent singer & the winner of the 1st Namyoho international cover contest (2015), also happens to be a pilot, lawyer, software developer & a philanthropist, who is known for supporting institutions for empowerment of the girl child & for the visually impaired. Taz B is credited with performing at the opening of multiple UNEP world environment Conferences for the United nations, and has shared the stage with notable personalities, including the President and Prime Minister of India.
Such an event, in which blind students will participate with prominent singers, in presence of notable personalities would help to boost their morale tremendously & inspire them to achieve great things in life. It'll also bring them and their issues to prominence, and thus, help in fund raising and greater support for their cause from general public.
