Fuelled over old enmity a 21-year-old youth was attacked by half a dozen miscreants in front of former Congress Minister Arif Aqeel near Laxmi Talkies area late in the night on Friday; Hanumanganj police have started investigation.
Police said that the attack was the result of an old enmity between Zaid Khan(21) and Waqar, Usman, Asif, Kaif and two others.
According to the police, Zaid was on his way to meet his friend and on his way he was attacked by armed assailants.
The victim sustained multiple injuries after he was attacked with a sharp-edged weapons.
The injured victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was reportedly stable.
Later, the victim lodged a complaint with Nagar police and based on the complaint and after the preliminary investigation, the police registered a case against the accused who went absconding and are still at large.
Police would investigate crime record of the accused.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old youth died after he was hit by an unidentified speeding vehicle near Sarpanch hotel under Parwalia Sadak police station area on Friday.
Police said that the deceased, Ganesh Yadav was found injured and rushed to hospital where he died during treatment. The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.
In the accident he sustained severe injuries in his head which caused his death. Police have started investigation and would take action against the errant driver who killed Ganesh.
