The much awaited movie based on the life of Indian skipper Mahndra Singh Dhoni, ‘MS Dhoni: The untold story’ hit the theaters on Friday, giving denizens of Capital City a special reason to rejoice. Interestingly, on the first day all the multiplexes of the city were houseful.

The biopic based on MSD life unfolds the journey of ‘Mahi’ who after crossing several hurdles proved his mettle at international arena in scripting that no dreams are small, if an individual craves to achieve it with dedication.

The movie release is more special for those schools kids, who are studying in Jawahar Vidya Mandir (JVM), Shyamali as ‘Captain Cool’ is an alma mater of this cradle. Moreover, the institution upholds a significant place in the biopic as Dhoni had begun his cricketing journey from here.

Giving a break from normal routine and looking at the eagerness of the students, school administration took all the senior students to witness the journey of MS Dhoni. Students and school administration were thrilled to watch the transition of their alma mater.

“looking at the excitement of the students, we decided to book the Fun Cinemas for students’ convenience. Total four screens were reserved for the JVM students for the first day first show. The school administration had earlier decided to reserve all the multiplexes of the city on the release day for the premiere exclusively for the JVM students but it did not figured out well,” said, JVM Shyamali, Principal, AK Singh.

“The movie is very well scripted. It is a must watch for all as it inspires an individual to aim high. I just hope that it enlightens the young minds and kids learn something from their alma mater,” added, Singh.

Similarly, a student of JVM, Shyamali added, “The movie goes with the flow and it truly works on the tagline. The transition of small of small town guy into an internationally acclaimed cricketer is worth watching. This biographical movie is a one time watch for everyone. Sushant Singh Rajput has totally justified the character and rest others are also good.”

Notably, according to its makers the biopic on the country’s star cricketer-skipper, is one of the widest releases of Fox Studio covering 4,500 screens across 60 countries and is likely to grab the attention of audiences more than any other biographical movie on any sports personality.

“We are receiving overwhelming response for this 3 hours 10 minutes biopic. More crowds are expected during weekends. There has been huge hype and several promotional activities around the film, with Dhoni himself leading the campaign from the front as a result it has been successful in getting bumper opening in the State capital,” said, Fun Cinemas Ranchi division Manager, V Kumar.
