Madhya Pradesh Congress vice-president and former MP laxman Singh today alleged that the State’s Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), meant for providing better employment and education opportunities was turned into an institution of scams by influential people.
In a party release issued here, Singh said most irregularities in the Board had been perpetrated by MPPEB officials in collusion with rackets involving influential people. The facts that emerged during investigation by Madhya Pradesh police’s Special Task Force indicated that these irregularities had protection from higher echelons.
He said the registering of two FIRs against former minister laxmikant Sharma bore testimony to pervasiveness and gravity of the scams. He urged the former minister to come up with relevant revelations in the matter so that guilty are punished and such scams are not repeated in future.
