The Madhya Pradesh professional Examination Board (MPPEB) has decided to introduce psychometric system to audit the status of the question papers prepared for different examinations. Official sources said that under this system, this would be analysed as how was the status of the questions asked in the examinations for different entrance test and recruitment tests. This would also find out whether there was any mistake in four options given for any question, whether there was any spelling mistake or any printing mistake.
Notably, the decision has been taken after the recent complaints from the students that there were problems in the question papers. For this, special software would be installed, sources added. After complaints were received in few examinations including the PMT, the Board has decided strengthen its system. The whole system including examination centres, deciding names of observers and finalising results would be computerised. For the purpose, the Board has decided to purchase new softwares and from now on, even the examination centres would be decided at random through softwares.
While filling the data of students with their roll numbers in the software, it would automatically intimate as how many centres would be needed and it would at random select the centres. At present, the Board has to rely on the information available with the district administration regarding the selection of centres. According to the Joint Controller of the Board Alok Nigam, the MPPEB conducts more than two dozen examinations every year. In most of the examinations, the number of candidates is 10,000 to 50,000, while in some exams the figure reaches from one lakh to 12 lakh candidates, he added.
