State Congress has alleged that the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB)   scam is the biggest scam in the history of Madhya Pradesh.

Former Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee vice president Rameshwar Nikhra in a statement here on Wednesday said, “Senior leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who boasts of having clean image every off and then are neck deep in the MPPEB scam.”

Nikhra further said that the attempts of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to dilute the whole issue but the black faces of those involved in this scam would be exposed because due to this scam future of many promising youths has come to an end even before it could take off. The illegal way Bhopal police adopted with the state capital resident Tajwar Khan who exposed the scam is enough to reflect the anxiety of the state government, he added.

He said the disappearance of Khan in mysterious circumstances after his name came in the assembly proceedings over the issue, search of his residence without search warrant that too in his absence and forceful occupation of the files related with the scam from there by the Bhopal police are pointing fingers towards wrong doings by the state government, he added.

Condemning the excesses meted out with the family of Khan by the Bhopal police the senior Congress leader said that when the MP Special Task Force is probing the case then why the Bhopal police needed to search the residence and took possession of the files related with the scam from the residence of Khan. The Bhopal statement that the issue has now reached upto chief minister is pointing that the illegal search of Khan’s house and forcible possession of over 200 files from there has been done on the directives of chief minister Chouhan.
