MPPEB scam: Congress on the offensive against CM

Published on:

Continuing his tirade against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Congress chief spokesman KK Mishra has levelled fresh allegations against family members of Chief Minister in the infamous MPPEB scam.

While talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Mishra said, “large scale corruption has been done in the Transport Constable Entrance Examination 2012 and thereafter appointment of Transport Constable. The Special Task Force (STF) succumbing to continuous pressure of MPCC was compelled to lodge an FIR against 34 persons in the scam after return of Chief Minister from the campaigning of Maharashtra assembly elections.”

Mishra further said during the past seven years the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) had conducted 168 examinations and serious irregularities, corruption and financial dealings were committed and there are clear evidences of that, despite that the STF under political pressure provided clean chit to many big white collar persons. Mishra questioned the role of Gondia resident Seema Choriya, wife of Bhuvneshwar Prasad Choriya, now a resident of Amla in Betul district of state in the Transport Constable Entrance Examination 2012 and appointment of 19 Transport Constables and how close is she with wife of chief minister Sadhna Singh.

He said that the advertisement published by the Transport Commissioner Gwalior - Government of MP was for total 198 posts of transport constables that included unreserved, SC, ST and OBC. It is amazing to not that the total vacancies published were 198 than how come the government recruited 332 constables.

He said that in the FIR and CDR of this mega scam of the state names of many influential’s figured of them one name was that of RSS Sarsnagh Karyawah Suresh Soni.

Union Minister Uma Bharti’s name is mentioned 17 times. The jailed the then controller of MPPEB Pankaj Trivedi in his statements said he paid `70 lakh to the then chairman of MPPEB Ranjana Chowdhry. Why the STF is silent over these names, he questioned.
