Right To Information (RTI) activist from the city Ajay Dubey has alleged that instead of taking action against the influential officials and persons involved in the MPPEB examination scam, the Madhya Pradesh government is awarding them with plump postings.
Dubey in a statement here on Thursday said, “it is a well known fact the biggest educational and recruitment scam of the country, the MPPEB exam scam has darkened the future of lakhs of youth of the country but no action has been taken against influential persons involved in the scam especially against those officers who are accountable for the scam.”
Dubey alleged that clean chit was provided to many officers including Amit Pande, husband of IAS officer Ajita Vajpayee, IAS KC Jain, former chairman of MPPEB and IAS Malay Rai and Ranjana Chowdhry without interrogating them.
On the one hand the Supreme Court of India has registered strong objection for not interrogating former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the coal scam and on the other hand the shameless Madhya Pradesh Government has made Malay Rai member of the state financial commission. Rai was chairman of the Board when the scam took place, alleged Dubey.
He said that it was during the tenure of Rai that examination of Patwari and data entry operators in commissioner land records Gwalior were cancelled due to examination paper leak and matter was reported with the police. Though examination was cancelled but no action was taken against those who were accountable for that. If action would have been taken at that time then the scams followed would not have taken place, he added.
He said that the MPPEB in reply to the RTI query replied that the investigation report of that scam paper leak case is not with us. The question is if the records are not with the MPPEB then where they have goneIJ, he added.
