Taking cognizance Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board has asked to write a letter to MP Tourism after loud noise pollution caused due to fireworks was witnessed at Boat Club area on Tuesday during a wedding party.
The state government had recently taken strict steps to stop noise pollution. But, after a few days the departments became indifferent. A scene of this was seen on Monday evening at Wind and Wave Restaurant, a restaurant of MP Tourism located at a distance of 150 meters from the Boat Club. There were huge fireworks at a wedding function here in the evening.
However, now Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board has asked to write a letter to MP Tourism so that in future there is no noise pollution in eco-sensitive zones.
According to the people present in the area, fireworks took place here at 6:30 pm on Monday evening. The maximum sound in these fireworks, which lasted for about 15 minutes, was 84.7 decibels. At the same time, the average sound was up to 63 decibels. Some Haldi function was going on in the restaurant.
Wild activist Ajay Dubey said that animals are kept in National Park or Van Vihar. There is also a wet land body there. Many birds also come. They become more and more distracted by such sounds. If the animals were in free range, they could hide somewhere. But due to there being no option in the open enclosure, there is stress in their behaviour. This also directly impacts their life cycle. It is a kind of torture with them, or rather it is cruelty.
In this way, wherever there is a National Park or Sanctuary, Eco Sensitive Zone has been introduced so that human settlement there can be controlled. It is the duty of Van Vihar itself to sensitize the people of the surrounding area of Van Vihar.
According to Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board, there is Van Vihar on one side and Bhoj Wet Land on the other side. Where there are thousands of migrating birds. It is not right to cause noise pollution like this here. This is not the first time that noise pollution is happening here. Earlier too, fireworks have been set off in this area by breaking the rules.
MPPCB Regional Manager Brajesh Sharma said that this type of noise pollution in the silent zone is not good, we should always avoid it, if this happens then we will write a letter to Madhya Pradesh Tourism in this regard. So that the rules are not broken like this in future.
MP Tourism spokesperson Vikas Khare says that at that time some turmeric function was going on in the restaurant, we always stop people from doing fireworks etc. in this way, but We will try to follow the rules from now on
Van Vihar Deputy Director SK Sinha said - We do not have any information in this regard. This type of noise pollution should not be done in Van Vihar and its surrounding areas. This is an eco sensitive zone. There are many wild animals here. We will discuss this with the concerned.Special GuestMs. Almitra Kikacongratulate for the successful organization the programme.
