Right To Information (RTI) activist Ajay Dube has claimed that the Madhya Pradesh Housing Board (MPHB) does not have any record of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s flat in Vidisha.
Notably, Chouhan in his affidavit filed along with his nomination filed for the 2013 Assembly elections mentioned a MPHB flat in Vidisha as his property.
He had filed an application with MPHB a year ago seeking details of the owner of the Junior HIG flat no 180/1 in SPM Nagar, Vidisha.
He said that he had demanded complete details of the said flat’s ownership besides other documents submitted by him for getting this flat along with the correspondence made by the board with the owner of the flat.
He alleged that the Housing Board delayed the information for one year and recently replied to the RTI query finally, claiming that the board has no such record available. “We demand high-level enquiry because the Board is hiding misdeeds in allotment of the flat by the owner,” he added. The RTI activist said when the board could not safeguard the records of property belonging to the CM than how could it protect the records of the
common man.
