The Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited (MPCDF) has taken a major leap towards digitization following the management takeover by the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). With the aim of improving efficiency and transparency, MPCDF has implemented an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to digitize its core activities, making them easily editable online.
In collaboration with NDDB, MPCDF has also introduced a mobile app-based milk collection system to ensure farmers receive fair prices and timely payments for their milk. This system will be integrated with the ERP system, streamlining the payment process and making it faster and more transparent. Furthermore, the app will reduce the cost of setting up an automated milk collection system, providing economic benefits to dairy federations.
The mobile app was launched by the CEO of Indore Dairy Federation, marking the beginning of a technological transformation in the dairy sector.
Dr. Sanjay Govani, Managing Director of MPCDF, hailed the digital initiative as a significant step towards increasing transparency. He stated that this system will soon be implemented in other dairy federations as well.
This digital transformation is expected to set a new milestone for the dairy sector in India, ensuring that farmers receive the correct price for their milk and payments are made on time. It will also streamline the milk collection process, making it more organized and efficient.
