State Congress has questioned the Prime Minister that despite demonetisation why the Maoism and terrorism are not ending and demanded President rule in Chhattisgarh and Jammu & Kashmir. Besides, it demanded a white paper over Narmada Seva Yatra from the Chief Minister.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Arun Yadav in a statement here on Tuesday said that martyrdom of 26 CRPF Jawans in Sukma on Monday, deteriorating situation of Jammu & Kashmir, down morale of Army and acts of Pakistan over the Indian border forced him to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi that despite his dictate of demonetisation why terrorism in the country, Maoism and infiltration on borders is not stopping. On the contrary, while announcing demonetisation, the Prime Minister had promised the country that the step would end terrorism and Maoism, he added.
Paying homage to the martyrs of Sukma, Yadav further said that over 50 jawans have been killed in Maoists attacks only in Chhattisgarh and Pakistan’s nefarious acts have also martyred many of our soldiers while in Kashmir the government is registering FIR against Army where despite oddity the honeymoon of PDP and BJP is going on due to political selfishness. Had these conditions took place during Congress rule the prime minister would have spoke in the same words, he added.
He said that looking at the uncontrolled situation in Kashmir and failure of Raman government to control Maoism as over 500 Jawans and other innocent have been killed in Maoists attack there since 2007 hence due to the oddity in both thee states president rule should be imposed.
He said that his party has demand from that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to issue white paper over the ground position of the promises made by him in the past six months during Narmada Seva Yatra.
Condemning chief minister Chouhan and BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya for their statements against senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia the State Congress president alleged that chief minister and Vijayvargiya themselves are known as land mafia in the state.
