Second and the final round of the trap event were played on Sunday during the third day of the ongoing 26th All India GV Mavlankar Shooting Championship at MP State Shooting Academy. The players of MP have played well and have bagged three gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal in the championship.
Sourabh Goriya of MP has bagged a gold medal while Akash Kushwaha and Mohammed Sameer have attained a silver medal and a copper medal respectively during the final round of the junior men’s individual category during the trap event.
Sourabh Goriya has attained a gold medal while Arshdeep Singh of Punjab and Jalaluddin Qureshi of Gujarat have won the silver medal and the bronze medal respectively in the senior men’s individual competition. Harshit Tiwari of Madhya Pradesh has bagged the gold medal in the Para-clay trap event. Sharayu Prakash Dalvi has attained the gold medal and Preeti Rajak has attained in the senior women individual competition.
Sharayu Prakash Dalvi has also attained a gold medal in the junior women individual competition. Ghamshyam Bhai of Gujarat has attained the gold medal in the trap men veterans’ competition.
Meanwhile, the women players of the MP State Shooting Academy have brought laurels to the state by winning the cash prize during the SN Kapoor Shotgun Shooting Championship. As many as 14 players of the state academy are participating in the open tournament.
Pooja Vishwakarma has attained the first position in the skeet open women event. Ayesha Khan and Manisha Keer have bagged the second and the third position respectively in the junior trap women event. Sandhya Yadav has attained the fourth position in the skeet open women event.
The players have been awarded with the cash prize after the tournament.
The first position holders have received the cash prize of `25 thousand while the second and the third position holder have received the cash prize of `15 thousand and `7 thousand respectively. The players, who have attained the fourth position, have been awarded with the cash prize of `5thousand.
