The Madhya Pradesh Parents’ Association has lodged a complaint against the All Saints School, Gandhi Nagar before Collector Sudam Khade and Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Disha Nagwanshi on Tuesday.
For past many days, the school is in headlines for increasing the fees suddenly and issuing the transfer certificates to 38 students. The school has issued notice to the parents warning of expelling their wards from the school if the fee is not paid.
The Madhya Pradesh Parents’ Association lodged the complaint against the Gandhi Nagar school branch in front of district collector on Tuesday. The parents have alleged that the school authorities have been threatening and pressurising them to pay the fee. Besides the fact that no prior information was given to the parents, the school authorities have blatantly chose to hand over TC to around 38 students.
The complaint registered by parents stated that earlier the school promised to take Rs 1000 admission fee till class 12 but suddenly the fee structure is changed. Now the school demands Rs 2000 and is forcefully asking to pay the remaining amount or else the students will not be allowed in school. Besides, the school is forcing the parents to buy stationery and uniforms from school itself.
Talking about the complaint, President of Madhya Pradesh Parents’ Association Ausaf Ali told The Pioneer, “For past many months we have been fighting against the injustice from the school authorities. SDM Disha Nagwanshi has assured us that she will look into the matter and get it resorted as soon as possible.”
Though, last week, DEO Dharmesh Sharma, Member of Member of Madhya Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Brijesh Chouhan went on a surprise visit to All Saints School, Gandhi Nagar and checked all the uncertainties at the school.
Disha Nagwanshi has said that letters has been sent to concerned authorities and after the proper investigation, action will be taken, informed Ali.
