Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while addressing an election meeting at Bamni of Anuppur district that comes under Pushprajgarh Assembly constituency of Shahdol lok Sabha constituency on Wednesday said, “We have to develop the area besides changing the lives of the common man. During the past eleven years the State has been transformed from a BIMARU State into a leading, developing State.”

By-polls for Shahdol lok Sabha constituency is scheduled for November 19.

Chouhan further said that the Congress has always connived feudalism, embraced industrialists while for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politics is ritual of serving the people. BJP is party of villages, poor and laborers and knows the pain and sorrows of the people.

This being the reasons that the Food Security Act has been implemented with excellence to benefit the Tribals, Schedule Castes and poor BPl families by providing them wheat, rice and iodized salt at `1 per kg, he added.

Chouhan further said that the Congress make farmers owe loans by charging 18 per cent interest on agricultural loans while the BJP kept on lowering the interest rates and finally not only made agricultural loans interest free but by providing 10 per cent rebate on loans for seeds and fertilizers paved way for the prosperity of the farming community of the state.

He called on the electorate of the Shahdol parliamentary constituency to make BJP candidate Gyan Singh victorious in the by-poll by pushing the symbol of lotus.

Singh is experienced and seasoned politician and on the one hand he is capable of arranging funds from the Madhya Pradesh government for the development of Shahdol, Umariya and Anuppur and on the other hand he could easily bring funding for the development of the constituency from the Narendra Modi led BJP government of the centre, he added.  He said that the Congress neither has any will nor does it have any thinking for the development and the negative psyche of the grand old party has disappointed the people. The BJP’s policies, intent and leaders are supporter of purity that is why it has farsightedness and might for development, he added.
