Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday said that Haryana will be developed on the pattern of ‘MP Model’ if BJP comes to power in the State.
Chouhan, addressing an election meeting at Barara, in support of BJP candidate Santosh Sarwan, said that the Madhya Pradesh Government had provided loan to farmers without interest and a number of farmers of Haryana had shifted to Madhya Pradesh as they were getting power round-the-clock and other facilities.
He said that the Madhya Pradesh Government had launched Rani laxmi Bai Yojna and Kanya Dhan Yojna there to encourage women empowerment. Criticising Congress and Indian National lok Dal (INlD), he said both the parties were two sides of the same coin.
Chouhan said he was in-charge of Haryana BJP for a few years and was aware of INlD politics and had also opposed BJP-INlD alliance. He claimed BJP would get absolute majority in Haryana and form its Government without the support of any other party.
Notably, Chouhan is one of the star campaigners of BJP in the Assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra. Chouhan address public meetings in Haryana on Sunday besides interacting with the party workers.
Amongst leaders from the state, besides Chauhan, Union Minister for water resources Uma Bharati has been designated star campaigner for both the States. Minister for urban administration and development Kailash Vijayvargiya, who is BJP election in-charge of Haryana, has been declared star campaigner there.
The leaders from Madhya Pradesh have been given relatively more importance in Assembly elections in comparison with leaders from other States.
