The Madhya Pradesh Government that has been boasting of taking action against corruption has a few Ministers, who have overlooked the directives of the lokayukta. In the 30th annual report of the lokayukta organisation, it has been pointed that Urban Administration and Development (UAD) Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya is on the top, while PWD, Panchayat and Rural Development, Water Resources and PHE departments are later in the tally. These departments have been found making unprecedented delays in implementing the directives of the lokayukta.

In the report, it was mentioned that despite the directives of the lokayukta that action should be taken against employees and officers for their involvement in corrupt practices, 18 departments did not take any action against them.

These cases included maximum number of 61 employees and officers of UAD. The PWD is on the second number with 19 such cases, while Panchayat and Rural Development and Water Resources department stand third and fourth, respectively with 17 cases each.

Similarly, in PHE, there are eight such cases lying pending with the department without any action. There are 13 more departments that have not acted in one to five cases. It has been pointed out that in Madhya Pradesh, there are 148 such cases lying pending for the past one decade.

Similarly, in the report, it was mentioned that the lokayukta organisation sought information from 48 departments regarding 1,375, but they did not pay any heed. Thus, these cases are still lying pending with the lokayukta in want of desired information from departments.
