He added that dept of Animal Husbandry, Forest, Panchayat, Rural Development, Revenue, Home and Farmers’ Welfare will be included in the Cabinet. The first meeting of the Cabinet will take place at Cow Sanctuary in Agar Malwa on November 22, said the Chief Minister.

The Cow Cabinet would be headed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and its members would be Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Forest Minister Vijay Shah, Farmers Welfare Minister Kamal Patel, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia and Animal Husbandry Minister Prem Singh Patel.

Cow conservation had remained a pivotal issue in Assembly polls and then in bypolls in Madhya Pradesh with the Congress party making conscious efforts to rob BJP of this issue.

However, the Shivraj Government is yet to come up with more details of powers and responsibilities of this cow Cabinet.
