Madhya Pradesh is the largest tourism place that is filled with enormous diversity, said Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Commissioner and Managing Director Ashwani lohani while speaking to mediapersons, travel agents and tour operators in lucknow. With the aim to attract tourists from Uttar Pradesh, MPSTDC has offered 40 per cent discount on selected tourist spots of Madhya Pradesh. The discount will be offered on packages of MP Tourism and could be availed through travel agents of Uttar Pradesh. The offer is valid till June 30 for the residents of Uttar Pradesh.
lohani provided detailed information of tourist places, handicraft, culture and food of Madhya Pradesh during the interaction. He said that Madhya Pradesh Government has declared to celebrate the year 2015-16 as tourism year. Under the tourism year, several programmes have been organised and in the tourism year, unknown tourist places have been discovered and would be included in the tourist destinations of the State to provide a rich experience for the tourists.
The response of the travel agent and media was encouraging as they shared that the huge number of tourists from Uttar Pradesh are interested in visiting Madhya Pradesh and want to familiarise with the culture of Madhya Pradesh and air connectivity would play an important role in making the visit with ease. They also shared that the road connectivity from Mahoba to Khajuraho should be made better, which would be helpful for the numerous tourists who want to visit the famous tourist spot of Madhya Pradesh, Khajuraho.
