AAP Madhya Pradesh convener Alok Agarwal has written a letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan asking to take action against himself, as his name surfaced for accepting grafts in the diaries of Sahara group.

AAP Madhya Pradesh convener Alok Agarwal wrote to Chief Minister Chouhan that on Tuesday during departmental review he said that if corruption takes place in departments, then the officers and the ministers would be made responsible.

“We wish to bring your attention towards a very important issue in which you and your subordinate officers are engaged. During the raid of Income Tax department on Sahara group on November 22, 2014 some documents were found. In these documents there is an entry on September 29, 2013 mentioning that Rs 5 crore cash have been given to the then CM of MP through Neeraj Vashihst. In another entry on October 1, 2013 it has been shown that again Rs 5 crore cash have been given to the then CM of MP through Neeraj Vashihst. In this manner payment of total of Rs 10 crore has been shown in the entries to you that were given by one ‘Jaiswal Ji’ to Neeraj Vashihst for MP CM in Bhopal.”

Agarwal further said that in 2013, Chouhan was the chief minister and Neeraj Vashihst was his deputy secretary in the chief minister house that directly comes under him (Chouhan). “Under the zero tolerance policy over corruption made by you I hope that you will immediately instruct the Income Tax department to complete this enquiry so that the guilty could be punished,” he added.
