The Chief Electoral Officer VL Kantha Rao has informed that since the model code of conduct has come into effect in the state, 30,755 non-bailable warrants have been issued from October 6 to November 4, 2018 in order to ensure law and order in the state.
A total of 2,819 illegal firearms have been seized and 2,53,055 firearms have been deposited in the police stations during this period. Under the property defacement, 16,02,874 cases have been registered and out of this action has been taken in 15,00273 cases. Under the government property defacement, 12,30,967 cases have been registered and action has been taken against 11,98,189 cases. Similarly, 3,71,907 cases of private property defacement have been registered and action has been taken in 3,52,184 case.
