The State Government encourages more private participation in promoting organic farming in Madhya Pradesh. On the lines of this ,various companies had signed around 20 MoUs for different organic products during the recently held national organic farming festival at Mandla.
Notably, the share of Madhya Pradesh in organic production in India is 40 per cent. The State Government has also implemented a policy to promote organic farming. lentas Indra Private limited, Bhopal has signed an MoU with Kanha Krashi Vonopaj Utpad Producer Company, Bichhiya in Mandla district for all-round cooperation in organic farming in 30 villages. Rai Brothers Organic Agro Private limited, Indore has signed 5 MoUs.
These include MoU with Green Heaven Organic, Indore for 500 quintal processed pulses and spices, Sashakt Kisan Producer Company Gohparo in Shahdol district for 3 tonne turmeric, 10 tonne millet and once tonne ginger, Hariom Organic Product Jabalpur for 200 quintal flex seeds, millet and rice, Kanha Krashi Vonopaj Utpad Producer Company, Bichhiya in Mandla district for 2000 quintal millet, chhindikapoor and Assam kothi rice and Mandla Tribal Farmer Producer Company Podilinga in Mandla district for 300 quintal millets and rai.
Hariom Hariom Organic Product Jabalpur has signed an MoU with Prakrit Unnat Aajeevika Farm Producer Company Dindori for 500 quintal millet, linseed and Ramtil and Kanha Krashi Vonopaj Utpad Producer Company, Bichhiya in Mandla district for 500 quintal kodu-kutki.
Nature Bio Food limited New Delhi has signed an MoU with Kanha Krashi Vonopaj Utpad Producer Company, Bichhiya in Mandla district for 200 quintal paddy, kodu-kutki, maize, mustard, wheat and peas and Aajeevika Producer Company Sheopur for 200 quintal basmati paddy and soybean.
Divya Prithvi Agronomics Private limited Maharashtra has signed an MoU with Kanha Krashi Vonopaj Utpad Producer Company, Bichhiya in Mandla district for 300 quintal aonla, harra, baheda, bel and nagarmotha and with Aajeevika Producer Company limited Sheopur for 200 quintal NTFP, Green Heaven Organic Indore with Aajeevika Producer Company limited Sheopur for 500 quintal wheat, maize and rice, MP Vindhya Jaivik and Herbal Development Foundation Jabalpur with Kanha Krashi Vonopaj Utpad Producer Company, Bichhiya in Mandla district for 500 quintal aonla, harra, baheda and Kanha rice and with Prakrat Unnat Aajeevika Producer Company limited Dindori for 100 quintal kodu-kutki, rice Vishnu Bhog.
Nav Bharat Agro Chhindwara has signed 3 MoUs including Kanha Krashi Vonopaj Utpad Producer Company, Bichhiya in Mandla district for 2000 quintal hybrid watermelon, Budhner Narmada Mahila Sangh Mandla for 2000 quintal hybrid watermelon and goats numbering 1000. Similarly, luv-Kush Crop Producer Company limited Raisen has signed an MoU with Kanha Krashi Vonopaj Utpad Producer Company, Bichhiya in Mandla district for 500 quintal maize and Kanha Krashi Vonopaj Utpad Producer Company, Bichhiya in Mandla district has signed an MoU with Ajay Rai of Seoni district for 3000 quintal Maize-9133.
