Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority cell State president Hidayatullah Sheikh said that the timely initiative and courageous intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from international stages to desert double standards over terrorism and not to see it through religious specs has been lauded by the world community.

Sheikh in a statement here on Monday said, “As per the Global Terrorism Index 2015 over 162 countries are suffering with terrorism and the number of India in this index is sixth.  When the world community is in panic with the havoc of terrorists outfits like Islamic State and BoKo Haram the timely initiative and courageous intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from international stages to desert double standards over terrorism and not to see it through religious specs has been lauded by the world community.”

Sheikh further said that Islam does not at all believe in violence and terrorism and whosoever does so in the Islam are actually astray and enemies of humanity. Sympathy towards them is anti-human act and the so called secular political forces that do politics by looking at it with the religious viewpoint should also take lessons from the acts and deeds of these terror organisations and they should also stay away from supporting such outfits, he added.

He said that India is having such strong cultural heritage where all the religions get equal respect and the followers of all the religions have full freedom to follow their path. Roots of terrorism could not settle here because the society is culturally united besides India is having social harmony and strong democracy. Whatever efforts made by the terror outfits to misguide the youth of this countey have failed, he added.

The senior BJP said the Pakistan by making terrorism a part of its foreign policy converted the country into breeding ground of terrorism.
