Modi's claims exposed: Ajay Singh

Published on:

leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh on Monday said that the tall claims of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that electricity has reached every village in the country was exposed in Madhya Pradesh alone.

In a statement, Singh said that in Madhya Pradesh, there are more than 20 such villages that could not get electricity till date.

He said that it was a co-incidence that during Jan-Akrosh rally of Congress on Sunday, Congress president Rahul Gandhi stated that people search for truth in the speeches of Modi, and on the same day Modi claimed that his Government has completed the target of illuminating each village within 987 days.

On the contrary, Singh said, the facts are entirely different in Madhya Pradesh. There are five villages including Jhandana, Amba and Ghameli in Alirajpur district that are still deprived of electricity, he added.

Similarly, in Raisen district, there are more than six villages in Sanchi region including Jaitgarh, Bili, Pond, Ramgarh, Khanapura and Gopalpur, there is no electricity.
