State Congress has made scores of demands from the Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime minister nominated candidate and Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi scheduled to visit Bhopal on Wednesday.

leader of opposition in the Madhya Pradesh assembly Ajay Singh in a statement here on Tuesday demanded from Modi that during his visit to the State capital he should announce to provide the status of schedule tribe to the Tribals of MP who got displaced due to construction of Sardar Sarovar Dam, providing of Gir lions to MP and compensation and rehabilitation of the laborers of Jhabua and Alirajpur struggling for life due to working in Gujrat’s glass industry.

Singh further said, “Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan might talk of state’s development but he does not have courage to talk to you over these burning issues of Madhya Pradesh.” He said that during Bhopal visit whatever national or international topic you chose to talk but it would not be of any importance and relevance for the people of Madhya Pradesh because Gujarat is the state where the people of MP are not only tortured but their justified rights are also suppressed by Gujarat.

Being the chief minister of Gujarat and prime ministerial candidate of the BJP you should announce to accept the righteous demands of the people of Madhya Pradesh during your visit to Bhopal. The main demands of the people of Madhya Pradesh include to provide the status of schedule tribe to the Tribals of MP who got displaced due to construction of Sardar Sarovar Dam, providing of Gir lions to MP and compensation and rehabilitation of the laborers of Jhabua and Alirajpur struggling for life due to working in Gujarat’s glass industry, he added. He said that all these issues are important for Madhya Pradesh and therefore Modi’s Bhopal visit would only be fruitful for the state if he accepts these demands.
