Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed happiness for the progress in six districts of the Bundelkhand region during his visit on Monday.
In a statement, BJP’s State President and Parliamentarian Nandkumar Singh Chouhan has said that 13 districts of Bundelkhand have suffered drought. Central government had sanctioned a special package of Rs 7266 crore for Bundelkhand. The sanctioned money of the special package has been utilized specially in the irrigation and water management.
Chouhan has lauded the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for utilizing the 90 percent money of the special package in the six districts of Bundelkhand, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Datia, Panna, Sagar and Tikamgarh and for providing relief to the farmers of the region.
Chouhan said that the migration of the people in Bundelkhand has been stopped by this. There are 70 schemes running in the districts of Uttar Pradesh but none of them is completed yet while Madhya Pradesh has completed all the 170 schemes. UP has failed to take the benefit of the special package. This is an administrative failure of UP government, he added.
Chouhan further said that BJP’s National President Amit Shah has addressed the people of the poll-bound Uttar Pradesh that they have examined Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Congress. All the three parties have disappointed the people of the state. BJP is the only strong and effective option for the development in UP.
