The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday launched its ‘Modi for PM’ campaign simultaneously in all the 55 organisational districts of the party. This campaign would continue till February 11.
leader of Opposition in lok Sabha and parliamentarian from Vidisha Sushma Swaraj, BJP vice president and Rajya Sabha MP Prabhat Jha and State organisational general secretary Arvind Menon launched the campaign in the State capital. The senior leaders as per the party line reached doors of the people with urn and made appeal for a rupee and a vote for lotus. The campaign would be run in all the villages of the State besides all towns and cities.
Swaraj while launching the campaign said, “The statewide campaign has been launched keeping in mind the ensuing general elections. During the campaign, we would reach the doors of the people and would appeal them to give us a rupee and a vote for making Narendra Modi the prime minister of the country.”
Jha said, “The campaign has been launched with the aim to make Modi prime minister and to involve public participation in it we are demanding a rupee from them. The program is run to accomplish Mission 29 in the State so that the Mission 272 could be achieved.” Detailing about the campaign, Menon stated that the main aim of the campaign is to establish contact with the people of the State by reaching their doors. The rupee could be right from one to one thousand but the main purpose of the party is to reach every household.
The campaign was launched in Hoshangabad by senior party leader Satyanarayan Jatiya, in Indore by party MP Sumitra Mahajan, senior minister of the state cabinet Kailash Vijayvargiya, Usha Thakur, Shankar lalwani and MlA Ramesh Mandola, in Gwalior Vedprakash Sharma, senior minister of the state cabinet Narottam Mishra, Balendu Shukla and in Rajgarh Tapan Bhomik. The campaign was also launched in Morena, Jabalpur, Sagar and other organisational districts of the State.
