Mobile project to deliver public services in MP

Published on:

The State Government has introduced a mobile project to deliver public services to people of the State anywhere and anytime through information technology. Under the project — the MP Mobile Project — digital services will be delivered to people through mobile.

These include services delivered electronically to people by all Government departments, organisations and agencies. For this, concerned departments should prepare Application Programme Interface of electronically delivered services and hand it over to MAP-IT. With this, electronically delivered services of Government departments, organisations and agencies will be integrated with the MP Mobile.

It is noteworthy that the State Government has decided to introduce this service by taking an important step towards making available public services to people quickly, transparently, economically and conveniently. The MP Mobile Project was formally launched by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the e-governance awards distribution function in April this year.

The Secretary to the Chief Minister and the Information Technology department, Hari Ranjan Rao, has desired all Government departments, heads of departments, commissioners and Collectors to ensure necessary action for delivery of services to the people through MP Mobile in the context of the State Government’s directives. In the circular issued in this regard, all Government departments, organisations and agencies have been asked to provide details of their web services to MAP-IT for digital delivery to the people.

For this ambitious project, the State Government has appointed departmental unit MAP-IT as the nodal agency. MAP-IT will ensure delivery of all public services through mobile in phases.

The MP Mobile will be developed as an integrated platform. Through it, services will be delivered to the people with technical specialities and mediums.

Users will have to download only one mobile app through which they can get all available services of various departments.

From website www.mpmobile.gov.in  one can get the desired services on one’s mobile through one web application.

People not having smart phone can also avail of USSD facilities by dialing just one code. In this way, a person can avail Government services using any of the three alternatives on MP Mobile.

At present, various departments are making available services to their beneficiaries electronically. For this, web applications have been developed. A person has to download different mobile applications to avail of these services. Through MP Online, all these services will be available at one platform.

The departments and institutions having joined MP Mobile Project include Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission, Power Distribution Companies, AIIMS Hospital, MAP-IT and various universities etc. For further information, MAP-IT CEO’s e-mail address ceo@mapit.gov.in. or e-mail ID vinay.pandey @mapit.gov.in or mobile number 9525180624 may be contacted.
