A 28-year-old youth was found dead inside Bhadbhada Dam on Sunday. The deceased went missing on August 10 and later was found dead. Police are suspecting foul play in the incident as apparently there was no reason due to which he could have taken this extreme step.
According to the police, panic prevailed in Bhadbhada dam area after a body surfaced in the morning and locals informed the police after the body was spotted.
On the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started further investigation.
The deceased was identified as Kailash Malviya of Suraj Nagar who used to work as labour.
During the investigation police found that the deceased went missing from August 10 after he left the house in the morning and later in the evening a missing complaint was lodged with Ratibad police by the family members after they failed to find him.
On Sunday afternoon his body was found at Bhadbhada Dam.
After his identity was established Ratibad police were informed and subsequently the family members were intimated.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post-mortem examination.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that the reason behind the death was not revealed as no suicide has been found and to ascertain the reason of the death is not possible.
The post-mortem report is awaited which will help in revealing the reason of the death. Family members were not able to provide details of the reason behind the suicide. The friends who accompanied him would be questioned as he was last seen with his friends for fishing.
