After failing to get help in the state, family members of the city-based missing trainee electrical navy officer left the city for New Delhi seeking help from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

On March 3, the youth Sandeep Yadav went missing in Indian Ocean, claimed the company which employed the city based youth.

City based Sandeep Yadav went missing while on his way to Mozambique in South Africa in a ship owned by Mumbai based company The Great Eastern Shipping Company limited. The company employed Sandeep as trainee electrical officer.

Brother of Sandeep Yadav Bhupendra Yadav said that Member of Parliament from Bhopal constituency Alok Sanjar met the family and assured to arrange meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Sushma Swaraj and he would also seek help from the Prime Minister Office in the search for missing Sandeep Yadav.

On Monday Bhupendra along with his friend and Alok Sanjar left the city for New Delhi to seek help from the External Affairs Ministry and PMO.

Bhupendra said that a team of officials would lead the investigation once the ship reaches the destination Mozambique in South Africa but he raised concern that to maintain the image of the company, company officials would not conduct fair investigation and would not reveal the reason behind the missing of his brother who is still missing and the efforts by the company are not satisfactory at all.

The company claimed that the incident took place at the Indian Ocean on March 3 when they found that Sandeep was missing which emerged in the attendance but the family differs in the opinion as they were not able to contact Sandeep after February 22, he added.

The family suspects that Sandeep had not boarded the ship on February 22 when the ship was at Vadinar port of Gujarat. The ship started its journey from Mumbai and was destined to complete the journey at Mozambique in South Africa.
