Misprint: A play performed by Colour Bakery

Today human only use our feelings and sensibilities in a combination when they need to generate their selfish motives. A play ‘Misprint’ brings all such instances to light. The play was performed here on Tuesday at Shaheed Bhavan Auditorium.

The play marked the third day of a four-day theatre festival ‘Karunesh Theatre Festival 2017’. Directed by Kuldeep Kunal, the play was brilliantly performed by the artists of The Color Bakery.

The play is about two friends belonging to different classes of society and how misprinted their lives are. While ‘Nanu’ is poor, dependant and academically strong, Bhanu brings home the image of a self-sufficient male who knows no limits and boundaries. As fate remain constant, Nanu leaves no stone unturned to be Bhanu's saviour in this cut-throat system and in return is benefited through some healthy notes. Wonderful, isn't itIJ

Romanticism is not a latent figure too. It remains the hero. Nanu plays a perfect Partner to Muskan, the only human relation he shared with anyone till now while Bhanu lacks educational qualifications and so is disregarded in the calculations to Tania, the so-called love of his life.

The beauty of play reaches the climax when Bhanu and Nanu get ready for the competitive and selfish -world. However, the play premises ultimate humour and absolute sarcasm, it leaves the audience thinking and wondering.

“Often the words that the heart wants to say changes by the time we say them out loud. Our greed and fear restricts and manipulates our feelings. However, this condition is of the whole society. In the name of humanity and relationships people are staging their own. Marketing is not just something which is in our brains it has started running in our blood. Indeed everything is a Misprint. Incorrect printed in the wrong reading and is being misunderstood,” says Kuldeep.

The play in the light mood of comedy and satire tries to bring a smile to the audience in order to remind us of where we stand- “Aukat”, he added.
