Gautam Nagar police have nabbed two miscreants who opened fire at 30-year-old victim at Indra Sahayta Nagar three days ago; victim escaped with bullet injury in the attack, police have seized pistol and scooter used in the attack.
Police nabbed Aftab Ali alias Sonu and Waqar Ullah who opened fire at Sadiq Ali in which Sadiq escaped with injuries. The two are cousins have old enmity over property and after the dispute was not settled amicably accused attacked to kill the victim in which victim escaped the attack.
SHO of Gautam Nagar police MK Mishra said that the victim used to run a shop and accused who is cousin of the victim wanted share in the shop and demanded money for the same. The two had a fight three years ago and from then accused was pressurising the victim.
On the day of incident accused opened fire at the victim in which he was injured in his leg. A case under sections 307 and 34 of the IPC and in the investigation police arrested the two accused and recovered firearm used in the crime.
In the investigation it was found that the accused attacked with the intention to kill but victim managed to escape the attack and got injured. The father of main accused Sonu was a notorious criminal Irfan Baccha.
The police would investigate details of procurement of firearm and people who have help accused during absconding. Police have recovered red coloured scooter which was not having registration number.
