The Khajuri Sadak police have nabbed four miscreants who assaulted and robbed purse carrying cash from a police constable near Poonam Dhaba late in the night on Friday.
Police have recovered Rs 1700 cash and documents from four miscreants who attacked and robbed Jitendra Singh constable posted with Khajuri Sadak who was on his way back to home after duty.
At the crime spot Jitendra managed to nab Zeeshan alias Bhaiyyu of Karond while other three Adil, Danish and Faizu were nabbed later in the investigation.
The victim sustained injuries in the attack and immediately informed police for help and which helped in arrest of four accused.
Police said that during investigation it was found that accuse obstructed Jitendra’s way and robbed him at knife point but he braved to nab one of the accused while three managed to escape with his purse carrying Rs 1700 cash and documents.
Based on the complaint by victim police registered a case of robbery and assault and arrested four accused in further investigation.
The past crime record of the accused is under investigation. Other reason behind the attack and robbery would also be probed as it was not clear that accused robbed a policeman or they have dispute with victim.
