Yet another incident of stopping a train by using a coin in the railway track was reported near Barkheda in Obedullahganj on Wednesday.
Earlier, in past couple of days, there have been two similar attempts, but the offenders could not succeed. On Tuesday, the miscreants had pelted stones on Rapti Sagar Express, after it stopped, but the police personnel foiled the loot bid. On Wednesday morning, the miscreants targeted Narmada Express.
Around 4-5 miscreants attempted to rob passengers of Narmada express when it was near Barkehda. Spotting the red signal the driver stopped the train and as soon as the train stopped the police personnel alighted off to check regarding the stoppage and found nobody was near the signal but found that the signal was changed using coin which stopped the signal on both the tracks and along with Narmada express train two goods trains were also stopped. When officials of the Railway Protection Force and Government Railway Police were contacted they were not willing to accept occurrence of any such incident. Till the filing of the report no case was registered by RPF or GRP.
