Miscreants targeted an automobile spare parts shop at Imami Gate under Kotwali police station area and escaped with Rs 60000 cash on Sunday; shutter of the shop was broken to enter the shop.
According to the police, a complaint was lodged by Mahendra Kumar regarding burglary of cash from his shop.In the complaint victim claimed that the locks were broken and on entering the shop cash was found burgled.
The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that apart from the cash, other things were not disturbed which raises suspicion that the workers might be involved in the burglary.
The CCTV cameras installed in the area and nearby areas would be investigated in the investigation, said police.
Meanwhile, electrical goods worth Rs 30000 were stolen from river bank at Agaria village under Eithkhedi police station area onSunday.
Shyamlal Gaur lodged complaint with the police after he found water pump and cables stolen from the river bank.Police have registered a case under section 379 of the IPC and started investigation.
The victim alleged that Bhagwan Singh and his aides have stolen water pump and cables from the river.
Based on the details police have started search for the accused who remained absconding.
