Miscreants targeted a cloth store and escaped with Rs30,000 cash and goods at Ibrahimpura locality under Kotwali police station area on Monday.
Police said that the victim Narayandas Premchandani found that the shutter of the shop was broken and valuables were burgled. The victim approached the Kotwali police and lodged a complaint stating that when he went to open the shop shutters were found broken and on entering the shop Rs 30000 cash and goods were found burgled.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
The employees who work for the victim would be questioned in the further investigation. Those who used to work with the victim at the shop would also be quizzed as the miscreants were aware of the place where the cash was kept and have not disturbed the goods in the burglary.
Meanwhile, goods worth Rs 60000 were burgled from a godown of an electrical shop in Kamla Nagar area on Monday. The victim Sandeep Sanghi found that three cartons of copper wire found stolen from his godown, said police.
Police said that a complaint was lodged with the Kamla Nagar police by the victim and in his complaint he stated that three cartons of copper wire worth Rs 60000 were found missing from his godown. Police have registered a case under section 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
