Miscreants decamped with valuables worth Rs 1 lakh from Anjali Apartment under TT Nagar police station area on Monday.
According to the police, the victim Ramarao Khatankar had gone for some work in the afternoon and when he returned he found that the locks were found broken and the house was ransacked.
On entering the house victim found that the valuables were missing. In the complaint he claimed that the gold jewellery worth over Rs 80,000 and Rs 20,000 cash were found missing in the burglary.
Victim is a building contractor and had gone for some work during the day on Monday and later when he returned the house was found ransacked.
Police suspects that the miscreants were tipped off regarding the victim’s whereabouts as the burglary took place within two hours.
The neighbours have expressed ignorance over the burglary which suggests that the miscreants were aware with the vicinity and used to visit the area which provided them easy escape and exit said the police.
In the further investigation CCTV cameras of the nearby areas would be searched which could help in establishing the identity of the miscreants who have committed burglary.
The police have registered a case under Section 454 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Domestic help and security guard of the apartment would be questioned in the investigation told the police.
People who work for the victim would be questioned as they were aware about the whereabouts of the victim.
