Miscreants targeted a house at CTO Bairagarh and escaped with valuables worth Rs 50000 on Sunday; Bairagarh police have started investigation.
Police said that the victim Ajay Kumar along with his family to attend an event in Balia Uttar Pradesh and he was informed by his neighbours that locks were broken of his house and light was on, victim’s nephew lodged complaint with the police.
In the complaint victim stated that they left house to attend an event and he was informed by his neighbours that lights of his house was found switched on and locks were found broken.
The complainant claimed that gold and silver jewelry and cash were burgled. The estimated total loss in the burglary is around Rs 50000.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case of burglary against unidentified miscreants and have started further investigation.
In the burglary the almirah which was having the valuables was targeted and the other valuables were not disturbed. The lock of the almirah was found broken and the cash and gold jewelry were found burgled.
Police suspects that miscreants were aware regarding whereabouts of the family. The CCTV cameras of the area and nearby cameras have been checked and to establish the identity of the miscreants has been started as investigation is on.
