Unidentified miscreants attempted to burgle the Canara bank branch of Misrod on Sunday night. The miscreants could not take away valuables as they failed to enter the locker room. According to the Misrod police, the Misrod branch of Canara bank was targeted by miscreants who managed to enter the bank but failed to take valuables. A complaint was lodged by bank manager. Police said that the owner of the building found that the wall was broken and informed the bank staff. A wall of the bank was broken to enter but the miscreants were not able to make their way through the locker room.
On Sunday bank manager lodged a complaint with the Misrod police and based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 457 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
The complainant M Venkateshlapati who is manager with Misrod Canara bank branch and in his complaint he stated that he left the branch after properly closing and on Sunday the guard of the bank informed him that one of the wall was found broken. On the receipt of the information he rushed to the branch and after he found that wall was broken, he lodged a complaint with the Misrod police. The CCTV cameras installed at the bank have captured the images of the miscreants and based on the information investigation has been started. Police said that the locals and neighbours would be questioned in the further investigation.
