Miscreants adopt TV shows' techniques to commit crime

The crime shows and TV serials are proving a boon for the criminals and the new entrants in the field to give a slip to the police officials while committing crimes.

In the recent past, the police officials have found that the miscreants adopted unique techniques that were seen in the TV shows and movies.

With introduction of changed tricks and techniques used by the criminals in committing crimes is making it a tough task for the investigating agencies to solve cases and nab criminals.

Additional Superintendent of Crime (Bhopal) Shailendra Singh Chouhan said that in the recent cases it has been observed that the criminals have been borrowing ideas from television sops and movies and the trend has been increased in the past few months. “We have started studying old crimes committed in different parts of the country, so that the cops could enhance their knowledge,” he added.

In the case of 11-year-old boy Nishant Jhope who was abducted on August 19, police are still not able to zero down on the kidnaper. For the ten hard working days for the police the intensive search paid off after the missing boy was found after he was released by the kidnappers but the kidnappers are still at large, he added.

Police found that the kidnappers used to call from moving vehicles to evade tracking of the location and were successful in their attempt which made tracking of their mobile phones tough for the police.

The trick was shown in a crime show in which the criminals used similar trick to escape without tracking.

Another case in which the criminals were found inspired was the case of murder of DIC Manager Ramdayal Bele who was killed on August 20.

The criminals after stabbing Bele to death, took his mobile phone and kept the mobile phone in a moving bus to evade tracking and suspicion by police. The criminals were inspired from the movie Dhrishyam in which to mislead the police and to avoid suspicion the mobile phone was kept in the bus.
