Gunga police have booked unidentified miscreant on the charges of sodomy and murder of an 8-year-old boy who was killed on September 15 near a stone crusher in Gunga. Body of boy who went missing in the evening a day earlier to his death was found in a water tank at stone crusher where his father used to work.
The boy went missing after he went for toilet in the evening on September 14 and later was found drowned at a water tank next day when the family and locals were searching for him.
According to the police, the body was spotted police were informed and on the receipt a team reached the spot and started investigation.
The circumstantial evidences suggest that the deceased drowned after he fell in the water tank. From the initial probe police were suspicious regarding the deaths which occurred under suspicious circumstances and due to which investigation was conducted by FSL which revealed that the accused did unnatural sex with the boy and later drowned him.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.
Police have registered case under section 377 and 302 of the IPC and started investigation and have started search for the accused who is yet to be identified.
The police suspects that accused sodomised the boy after he was found alone and killed boy to hide his identity.
