The Bhopal Crime Branch nabbed a miscreant who was engaged in transportation of liquor illegally in car and recovered 45 liters of liquor worth Rs 25000 and a car from his possession at Bhadbhada on Friday.
Police said that after receiving tip off regarding miscreants using car involved in transporting liquor illegally crime branch team reached the spot and seized the car and liquor. The miscreant was in a Tata Safari bearing registration number MP09CK9511.
Nabbed accused was identified as Mohammad Arshad (22) of Nayagoan
The accused was carrying liquor and when he was asked he failed to produce license regarding the liquor and was nabbed. From the car police recovered two cartons country made liquor and three cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor.
Police have registered a case under section 34 (2) of the Excise Act was registered and further investigation has been started. Meanwhile, the Bhopal Crime Branch nabbed four miscreants who were engaged in illegal business of weapons and recovered six country-made pistols and six live cartridges from their possession near P Khushilal Ayurvedic Hospital on Friday.
Acting on a tip off a miscreants trying to sell fire arms was nabbed from ground at P Khushilal Ayurvedic Hospital and when they were searched six country made pistols and six live cartridges were recovered.
The main accused Shappu alias Shafeeq Khan (24) who has been nabbed earlier for selling firearms illegally. Nabbed accused were identified as Gufran Khan (41), Mohammad Haji Qureshi(36) and Rahul Bairagi (28).
From Shappu three country made pistols and four live cartridges, from Gufran one country made pistol and live cartridge, from Mohammad Haji Qureshi one country made pistol and live cartridge and from Rahul one country made pistol was recovered.
Shappu is watch list criminal of Kamla Nagar police, action under NSA, booked for attempt to murder, robbery, dacoity and several other crimes.
