Vairagyanand Giri alias Mirchi Baba got his hair shaved in front of the State Congress office in Bhopal on Saturday and during this he started crying and called CM Shivraj Singh a gimmick and said that it was because of him that he got tonsured.
Mirchi Baba said, 'I am Mahamandaleshwar of Niranjani Akhara and a Naga since childhood. Today I am claiming that people will be afraid of the present Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouha but monk of India will not be afraid.
Mirchi Baba came out of jail three days ago on Wednesday after being acquitted in a rape case. On Friday he reached Mahakal temple in Ujjain where he created a ruckus when he was stopped from entering the sanctum sanctorum. While shouting in the temple itself, he had said - 'O Mahakal, change the Chief Minister'.
Mirchi Baba further said, I was accused of being a rapist. While I was proved innocent. Who will answer the allegations against me now? He said, the manner in which the sadhus are being implicated. This is an insult to India. It is an insult to the nation. Which the current Chief Minister Shivraj Singh is doing.
On the question of getting the head shave off done in front of the State Congress Headquarters, Mirchi Baba said because PCC is my house and this is my door. Praising former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, he said, Kamal Nath gave patte(land ownership) to the saints. A cow shed was built for the cows. Never harbored any grudge against the saints.
Mirchi Baba was arrested from Gwalior after a 28-year-old woman from Raisen alleged that Mirchi Baba raped her by providing sedated drink. The victim woman had lodged a complaint at the Mahila Police Station in Bhopal on August 8, 2022. After initial investigation, the police registered a case of rape against Mirchi Baba and arrested him next day.
