A high-level meeting presided over by State Assembly Speaker Sitasharan Sharma for the conservation, promotion and transfer of historic building Minto Hall, the old Assembly building, was held here on Saturday.
Senior officials including State Chief Secretary Antony DeSa, Assembly Principal Secretary Bhagwandev Israni, Secretary of Tourism Department Hariranjan Rao and others were present on the occasion. Sharma told officials that seeing the historic importance of the building its conservation was necessary and instructed to provide alternate place for running the Atal Behari Vajpayee Hindi University run from the premises of Minto Hall.
