Sexual assault of a minor girl before strangulating to death has been confirmed by the autopsy report who was found dead near People’s hospital on Sunday.
Police said that in the autopsy report it was revealed that the girl was raped before being strangulated to death.
Several injury marks over the body along with the private parts suggests that the victim has opposed the assault due to which she has sustained several injury marks.
The police have started investigation on the lines of abduction, captivating and sexually assault of the victim.
Earlier on Sunday evening, the victim was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a ground under Nishatpura police station area on Sunday.
After the body was spotted the police were informed and after the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post-mortem.
In the initial investigation a scarf was found wrapped around the neck which was used to strangulate her to death.
Victim used to work as a rag picker and on Friday evening had gone for rag-picking with her elder sister who returned home but the victim didn’t return on Friday.
Police said that the 6 months ago the family shifted to Ekta Nagar area. The police have registered a case under Section 302 and 201 of the IPC and have started further investigation. It is yet to be confirmed that the victim was sexually assaulted by a miscreant or she was gang raped and it would be investigated in the further investigation.
After the sexual assault was pointed out in the autopsy report, the police have increased Section 376 in
the FIR.
