The court on Tuesday sent jail the accused persons in a rape case. The victim in the case, 15-yearold girl was sexually assaulted by her father and two brothers.
The three offenders were nabbed on Monday and the fact came to fore that the three were sexually assaulting the minor girl for past five years.
According to the police the accused Kartar Singh, his son Awtar Singh and Sonu Singh used to sexually exploit the victim.
The atrocity was revealed after the victim went to Gauravi institute and reported the incident to the counselor and later the counselor and staff of Gauravi lodged a complaint with the Habibganj police.
In her complaint the victim stated that the accused used to sexually assault her for the past five years and at around 9 pm on Monday accused father sexually assaulted her and when she opposed her father and brothers threatened her of life. later she reported the incident to Preeti Singh and Sunny of Gauravi institute and a complaint was lodged with the police after she was accompanied by Preeti and Sunny to the Habibganj police station.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation, police have registered a case under section 376(2) (F)(N) and 506 of the IPC and section 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act-2012. The three were arrested on Monday and were produced in the court on Tuesday where they were sent under judicial custody.
