Aminor boy was attackedwith a sharp-edged weapon at Sanjay Nagar under Shahjehanabad police station area by another minor boy of the same locality over a petty issue in the evening on Sunday.
Police have registered case against both minors who were engaged in the fight. Minor who attacked with sharp edged weapon sustained fewer injuries and other one sustained critical injuries.
The mother of the boy who sustained major injuries alleged that police failed to take action and instead of taking action against the accused son and his father who holds crime record, is out on bail in fraud case, encroached land in the area and threatened them at the Hamidia hospital, police have booked her son in the case who was abused and attacked by the accused.
CSP Shahjehanabad Nagendra Pateria said that both the boys are minor and one of them sustained severe injuries. In the further investigation medical would be conducted and if require action would be to be taken detain the minor accused and produced in JJ court it would be done.
The boy who sustained severe injuries near his ear and cheeks and chin has sustained more injuries. His treatment is going on, he added.
CSP Pateria said that over a dozen youth and minors came to the police station and claimed that the minor who was attacked with sharp edged weapon was responsible for the fight.
After the preliminary investigation police have registered a case under sections 293, 323, 506 and 324 of the IPC and started further investigation.
