In a horrifying incident a three-year-old girl was attacked with a sharp razor blade at Kabeetpura under the limits of Shahjehanabad police station.
According to the police sources, when the victim, Sumera Khan, was playing near her house, the accused came close to her and tried to injure her with a sharp razor blade. She was attacked more than three times causing multiple injuries on her face. later the accused fled the spot. Afraid and shocked over the attack, the victim went inside the house with a bleeding face. At the time of the incident, the victim’s mother was present at the house, who took her to a nearby hospital.
The incident took place on Friday afternoon after which the girl was rushed to a nearby hospital and received several stitches on her face during treatment. Police were informed by the parents of the victim and after preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under Section 342 of the IPC. During the investigation CCTV footages of the crime were obtained but still police are not able to establish the identity of the accused boy.
The city superintendent of police, Shahjehanabad, Sunil Patidar said that the CCTV footages obtained of the crime spot reveals that the victim was playing and the accused attacked her, injured her and escaped the spot. Police are yet to find the reason of the attack and identify the accused. A Police Help Center is located near the victim’s house but the on-duty police personnel failed to notice the incident and spot the accused who committed the crime and escaped easily.
